LOS ANGELES (March 31, 2025) – NISA Nation regrets to announce the departure of Communications Specialist Dennis Pope.

In addition to his outstanding work with NISA Nation, Pope will forever be an integral voice in NISA's history as the narrator on "Rise of a Derby", and as part of the commentary team on so many league matches, including last year's NISA Championship Final.

"We want to thank Dennis for being such a valuable member of the NISA team," Bob Friedland said. "Everyone knows he's a top sports writer in Southern California, but he created stability within NISA Nation's national media and marketing structure and led exciting efforts to improve the league's visibility with the first two NISA Nation National Championships in 2023 and '24. We're sad to see him leave, but we wish him well in his future endeavors."

“Dennis is the best in this business. His ability to collaborate, innovate and problem solve makes him invaluable," Matt Morse said. “Fortunately, he's agreed to stay as the Vice President of the Southwest Premier League and continue to create good things for amateur soccer there."

NISA Nation will play in the Coast and Southwest Regions this spring season.
