NISA Nation Northeast Region Championship to be Decided Sunday

Dec 9, 2021

One Point Separates New Amsterdam FC II and New Jersey Alliance FC

CLIFTON, N.J. (December 9, 2021) – The inaugural NISA Nation Northeast Region championship is up for grabs this Sunday at, Dec. 12, between New Jersey Alliance FC and New Amsterdam FC II. The clubs will play the match at the Athenia Steel Complex here, starting at 7pm ET. The match also will be streamed on ElevenSports.com.

“While we experienced some growing pains in our first season, we are thrilled that the competition has come down to the final match,” says NISA Nation Northeast Region Manager Jonathan Rednour. “These are two very good clubs that have learned a lot about professional standards along the way. The growth of the club on the touchline and the front office is as important as growth on the pitch.”

New Amsterdam is undefeated in nine matches, earning 23 points. Host New Jersey Alliance comes into the match with 22 points on seven wins, one draw, and one loss. New Jersey’s lone loss came at the hands of New Amsterdam in a 4-1 result on Oct. 24.

“We are new to the league and made a commitment to each other and the League to play at the highest level possible,” says NJAFC President Edgar Guardia. “To our Club the growth for our players is a critical part of our mission. We are also expanding, creating partnerships and working within local communities.

“This game will continue to show our talent, passion, desire and will to reach our goal and be the NISA Nations Northeast Champions during its inaugural year,” he adds.

NAFCII also sees the many benefits of the NISA Nation season on its club and sees the match as proof to trust the process to stay focused, one game, one week at a time.

“Playing in finals against the Alliance, two top teams in the tri-state area, shows how competitive NISA Nation is in its inaugural season,” says NAFCII General Manager Bob Chacko. “The league is proving how serious it is to become the real gateway of ‘PATH to PRO.’”
