On the same week as its professional side won its first NISA match, Jeremy Russell scored the equalizer before Capo FC grabbed two more goals in a 3-1 win over Craq Intercontinental FC in a NISA Nation Southwest Region match at Azusa High School Stadium on Sunday, April 28.
It's the second victory on the NISA Nation season for Capo FC (2-0-2 overall), which leads the Southwest Region West Division.
On Saturday, it was a first-half goalfest as Battleborn FC outlasted ASC Silicon Valley 3-2 at Bishop Monague Catholic High School in Reno, NV, and Abdulrahman Algabri scored twice as Bay Area United FC earned a 3-1 victory over Laguna FC at Estuary Soccer Park in Alameda, CA.
On Sunday, three different players got on the scoresheet as Afghan Premier FC earned a 3-0 victory over Club Tepa at South San Francisco High School, and Jonathan Santiago scored three times as FCGS Force scored early and often in a 10-1 win over Irvine Zeta II at John Anson Ford Park in Bell Gardens, CA.
