Week 6 Recap: Mher Karamyan Scores Everywhere for Lions United FC

PALM DESERT, CA (October 9, 2023) - Mher Karamyan is here, he's been there, and he scores every-'bleeping'-where.

Karamyan had goals on each side of halftime as Lions United FC beat Toros FC 5-1 in a Southwest Region game at Hovley Soccer Park in Palm Desert on Sunday, Oct. 8.

A former L.A. Galaxy Academy player through the U19s, Karamyan now has scored goals across three of the four men's amateur leagues in the United States.

On Saturday, first half goals from Elias Quintanar Macias and Amfed Luquez were enough as Temecula FC held on for a 2-0 victory over Ocelot LA FC at Patricia H. Birdsall Park in Temecula, CA.

Parker Scalzo scored twice in the first half as Capo FC topped Desert FC 6-2 at JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano, CA.

Jordan Johnson and Teegan Rodgers produced the only goals in the second half as Matias Almeyda FC pushed past AC Houston Sur 4-2 in a Texas Region match at the Matias Almeyda Training Center in Houston.

On Sunday, Raspreet Sandhu netted a brace and both Evan Snodgrass and Max Gonda had goals as JASA RWC beat Ocelot Stockton TLJ FC 5-0 in a Pacific Region match at Edison High School Stadium in Stockton, CA.

Also in the Pacific Region, Windmill City FC bounced back from last week's loss to Battleborn FC with a 3-1 win over Modesto City FC at Central Catholic High School in Modesto, CA.

In the Southwest, Brandon Vargas scored the lone goal as Las Vegas Legends FC held on for a 1-0 victory over FCGS Force, the reigning region champs, at Faith Lutheran High School in Las Vegas.
