CHICAGO (February 21, 2023) – NISA Nation today continues its mission to create a nationwide pathway-to-professional league with the creation of the Pacific Division.
Five clubs have signed agreements to play a Spring Season beginning in March, with space for more clubs to join. The Pacific Division will feature as many as 10 clubs in the Spring Season.
“We are building NISA Nation in the way where the system can be supported by a solid foundation,” NISA Nation Director Matt Morse said. “The West has long proven itself as one of the premier development regions in the nation, and the Northern California-to-Northern Nevada corridor is fertile ground for players every year. We continue to seek independent clubs that want to be a part of a more open system of professional development.”
NISA Nation, a full-year league providing independent clubs a groundbreaking pathway to professional status, launched in 2021 with regions from coast to coast.
The Pacific Division will feature a group of clubs that include Battleborn FC, Bay Area United FC, JASA Redwood City, Modesto City FC and Windmill City FC, with more clubs to be announced in the coming days.
The Pacific Division schedule will be released in early March. More NISA Nation regions will be announced soon.
